Built between 1984 and 1986, and within close proximity to the University of North Carolina near the southern edge of Chapel Hill, the Sycamore Run neighborhood consists of forty townhouse lots.  Located on the east side of S.R. 1108 (Mount Carmel Church Road) in Orange County,  the Homeowners’ Association Board of Directors oversees the professional management of the property, which includes exterior maintenance, landscaping and other services.  At the northern end of Mallard Court -- the only road within Sycamore Run – is a small trailhead that leads through, HOA-owned, common area and into a 30+acre parcel of natural area that is owned by the Town of Chapel Hill.  Within a mile or so, you’ll find additional walkways, bike paths, bus-stops and the mixed-use Southern Village neighborhood, as well as UNC Hospitals.
