September, 2011 -- CAS attended the Community Associations Intitute North Carolina Chapter's annual conference in Raleigh. For the third year in a row a CAS manager won the Onsite Manager of the Year Award. Congratulations to Judy Marshall at St. James Plantation! Prior winners include Mike Zmuda at Hedingham in 2010 and Dennis McGarvey at Governors Club in 2009.

July 20, 2011 -- CAS hosted a Lunch & Learn at the Pinehurst Resort for CAS Large Scale Management clients consisting of
associations with on-site management staff. In attendance were representatives from St. James Plantation, Governors Club, Seven Lakes West, Hedingham, Fairfield Harbour, Oyster Harbour, and Seven Lakes Landowners Association.

July 1, 2011 -- The city of Durham has enacted new restrictions on the use of pine straw in landscaping. As of July 1, no pine straw or other landscaping material with a fire rate of spread of greater than 24 inches per minute may be placed within 10 feet of buildings with combustible exterior construction. June, 2011 -- CAS has opened an office in Wilmington, NC. Already, 6,000 units are under management in New Hanover and Brunswick counties. Read the press release
